A little dirty riding

Wife and I did a little dirt practice today, nothing too serious, just some exercises we saw on a video:

What's the purpose of both feet on the same side?

Maybe it's the pic but that Strom doesn't look like it has much ground clearance at all with the skid plate.

The purpose of both feet on the same side is to help rider learn to balance & build confidence. Same with the pic below where my knee/leg is resting on the seat, although it does appear that I have a foot up my ass!

The skid plate has plenty of clearance, but I see what you mean. Again, take a look at the photo below.

Sorry Bob, I completely missed the point of your question: The video is put out by BMW, I think it's call "GS riding skills". It's available on Amazon & you can rent it or buy it. We bought it. There's another excellent video called "Dirt riding skills" put out by Carl Adams. Highly recommend them both. Con
