A Motorcycle Rider's Ten Commandments

These are ten tips -- I called them commandments in the headline because that gets more attention -- that I think all riders should live by. Bear in mind these are based on my experience and are, of course, tempered by my own opinion. You may see things a bit differently. If you learn something from this list, great. If you don't, at least I tried. :-)

You can read the full list description on my blog here.

1. No one brags about brain damage.

2. Ride as if you are invisible.

3. What you wear is based on crash protection, comfort, and fashion in that order.

4. There is plenty of time to drink after your bike is parked for the day.

5. You always have room to expand your skills.

6. Everyone on two wheels is your family.

7. Primum non nocere. First, do no harm.

8. Take care of your body and your bike.

9. Take it seriously.

10. Ride.

Those are definitely good! I do have my own however, for #2. My version is ride like everyone you see is out to run you over, or, wants to kill you. Same principle though, defensive, defensive, defensive...:beatnik:
