I am using givi E45s. Does anyone else feel they are too wide? On my last trip through Utah, the bags seem to catch too much wind. Not sure if it was the headwind or the drag from the boxes.

What brand are the crash bar bags? Do you have a close-up photo of them?

Thanks!

BlackiBags

He sells on etsy. They are custom for each type of bike and crashbar. Mine is a V2 with OEM bars and mine was the prototype. I made him a template for the opening and he converted it into CAD and made it.

I have the factory 3 bag set. While the "side opening" style of the side cases is a nuisance, I'll live with it as the 3 bags with mounts cost me $400... I was itching to get a set of aluminum adventure cases for more storage and the top opening. While chatting with a stranger, he suggested just packing less gear and more efficiently, and think that every time I opened the top of the new adventure cases it would cost me $1 I decided to stick with what I have for now. I've done a couple week long trips both solo and with my wife...we've over packed every time and didn't run out of space...

Running 2 options currently:

Oigo Stealth bags:

Great for riding around and still light enough to where they dont affect accel at all.

20mm Ammo cans:

Excuse the photo. I need to take a better one, and they're not on the bike for reasons stated below.

For V1 (seen above) I just fabbed them up to a set of Jessee luggage racks that came with the bike. Poor choice all around honestly. anything above 80MPH and they make the whole butt wobble and it gets scary QUICK. Other problem is they weigh a metric ton. Lost a lot of accel speed from them, but they have storage FOR DAYS.

I am currently working on V2 which will be complete and utter overkill. Being as my day job is a mechanical designer I am making a cradle to secure and lock them in place to the frame. Still a work in progress though so yeah...

I recently acquired a '17 Wee. I'm using Wolfman Expedition Dry Bags mounted on Giant Loop Pannier Mounts, attached to Givi Trekker Outback (PL3112CAM) side racks.

On first install I didn't care much for the right side bag's proximity to the exhaust. I changed out the Giant Loop's 4 lower OEM attachment bolts with longer bolts and bushings that provide about 1-1/2" more standoff.

Just finished a week long road trip and the setup works fine - bag stays cool even in slow traffic.

I recently installed Shad SH35s onto my bike. Although the mounts do not work as advertised but with a little bit of adapting they are fine now. Although they are not the typical aluminium ADV cases, they look just like OEM and fit the bike well and are 35 liter each side. They also came with a Shad bag liner which was a plus.

Tusk medium side boxes on Givi racks with SW motech adapters for some other bags used as the mounting (fixed) system. And a Kappa top box.
