I have 2 ... one pretty weathered pair - at about 18 months old that are comfortable and good - but lost their waterproofness ... and a new pair I wear the likelyhood of rain is higher. Kind of a boot rotation.

For some weird reason, i'm intrigued by actual motorcycle boots - but at $155 for a pair of Goretex boots I could hike a mountain in - that last me over 18 months - not sure why I would change.

My last pair were TCX Infinity boots purchased 8 years ago and they finally wore out.

They were comfortable even though they were a bit wide for my foot. Partially fixed with an insole insert. Durable and tough boots. Wore them on many hikes of up to a 2 miles round trip and the comfort matched my best hiking boots. Waterproof till almost the end, leaked a little on my Sep-Oct trip last year during a multi-day rain ride. The sole got a little slick near the end too. I guess TCX has decided to stop making them, too bad they were a heck of good motorcycle boot.

My new boots are Forma Adventures (tall).

YMMV

Daytona RoadStar GTX. Pricey, but Incredibly well made sturdy boots and I feel are worth every penny spent. One of just a few companies that make an actual true WIDE moto-specific boot. I wear 3E to 4E typically and these things felt like slippers since day one. Adjustable for rather large calf sizes as well...

TCX Airtech Evo Gore-Tex have worked for me. Stayed dry riding ALL DAY in the rain on my trip west a couple of years ago. Comfortable riding and walking. Not an adventure boot though.

My Opinion:
Vee or V= DL1000 before 2014
Vee2 or V2 = DL1000 2015 to 2019
Vee3 or V3 = DL1050 2020 to?

My Stroms:
2006 DL650: 202,000 km 125,500 miles, Sold
2012 DL650 139,500+ km, 86,700+ miles. Sold
2015 DL1000 New July 2015 205,000+ km, 127,000+ miles.

This can help preventing from cars pulling out in front of you (SMIDSY)

I used to use Sidi's Adventure, great boot but squeaky. My feet have changed shape and Sidi's tend to be rather slim so have moved on to TCX's.

TCX Infinity Evo are pretty good, Gore-Tex and comfortable on the bike but a bit heavy to walk around in. Took ages to break in though. I also use the TCX S-Speed Gore-Tex which are just as squeaky as Sidi's but otherwise a good sporty boot.

The more you think the less the better.
