I think it fair to mention that the BRP is a federal motorway with a 45 MPH speed limit. Nice riding with no stop lights or cross roads, but a "spirited" romp can be pretty pricey! Be judicious with your throttle application.

Federal speeding tickets make the local tickets seem like chump change.

I've talked with many park rangers re: the speed limits. All of them said that "10 over" the posted 45 mph is no problem and they probably would not stop and ticket you. However there are sections of the BRP that are posted 35 mph due to the high number of people during the summer months. Those are more assertively enforced!!!

I have ridden the BRP end to end twice. It is one of my favorite roads. Personally, 45 mph is just fine with me on the majority of it.

I got pulled over there once doing 47 mph (had my cruise control set to my GPS speed). The Ranger must have had some kind of alien cloaking device for his SUV, I was looking and never saw him. He gave me a friendly award for my skills (courtesy citation) that was payable if I collected another one within the same month. I even asked him how accurate my GPS was, spot on 47 mph, he showed me the radar gun.
