Barber Motosport Weekwnd

Got back yesterday, beyond whooped. I’m gonna remember this ride as “No Ride for Old Men”. Rt. 81 is to be avoided at all cost, especially Va. thru Tn. At every big city, the jams are maddening. Chattanooga was a 90 min. back up. My GPS & Goggle , shaved that down to a half hr..
The over ninety temps, brought my enthusiasm down a bit, for the Barber Vintage Races, thank goodness the museum was AC.
Riding was comfy, so I headed toward home, via The infamous “Dragon” and Skyway. Flipping Big Vicky back and forth was a great way to spend the afternoon.
Had to travel over a hundred miles to get a room, because of Fall Break, but Morristown, Tn. Had some available.
Next morning I headed to Gettysburg and enjoyed the museum. I was so tired, I spent the night there, rather than possibly falling asleep, behind the bars(been there, done that).
Big Vicky purred like a kitten, unless I flexed my wrist, then she howled like hound, and passed the eighteen wheelers at will. She’s got minerals from seven states coating her, but she cleans up nice.
I added Georgia and Alabama to my states ridden, two to go.

Hell, I'm just N of Morristown and have a free camping spot in my pasture on a big creek for any bikers. Yeah, I75 to I24 thru Chattanooga at almost any time during daylight hrs is to be avoided.....heavy traffic squeezed down from 4 to 2 lanes, bad concrete with pot holes and ledges.

I have not made it to Barber of these days though....looks amazing.

That's good to know. I didn't bring any camping gear for this trip, due to 90 + temps. That was my first time in Chattanooga and the holiday traffic, along with the road construction made it a nightmare.
I was lucky to attend the museum at Barber on Thursday, because it was jammed up on the weekend also. I believe 70,000 riders attend over the weekend, for this event.
