Decisions

I am behind on a design project at work and should have gone in to the office today. I went outside and it was too pretty to spend inside. I know, I will work from home today....Yeah, that's a plan.

It was a beautiful day in the bluegrass, got in a little riding this evening. Is it possible to give a summary of where you rode?

G-Dub, I live outside of Taylorsville, Ky. I left home and went into Taylorsville. Took Bashears Creek Road (narrow, awesome windy 1 lane) toward Waddy but stayed south of I-64. Crossed under 64 and into Frankfort. South along palisades (KY River) and past closed distilleries to Woodford Reserve. From there I rode through Versailles to Hwy 33 and through the gorge to Shakertown. Shakertown to Burgin to Danville, where I got some fancy coffee at the Hub (a "depth charge", flavored Latte with 4 shots espresso). The Hub is a must stop to have coffee and look at yoga pants from Centre College coeds.

Danville to Forkland along the Rolling Fork River (good gravel and creek riding here) toward Lebanon. Back north through Mackville (Amish Country) then crossed Hwy 555 to Bloomfield. Bloomfield to Fairfield, then to Taylorsville Lake riding along Salt River. It is all narrow, twisty, 1 1/2 lane roads with no painted lines.

You should join me. I ride all winter long using heated gear. If the roads are not salty or slippery I ride. PM me if interested. I am about to park the bike for a few weeks because modern gun season is about to start (Nov 11) and I am a deer killer.

Here is a picture of the tunnel in the Kentucky River Gorge and a covered bridge in Washington County.
