First road trip

I just managed to take my first road trip with my Wee. Went from the Detroit area up to Traverse City on day one. Day two was visiting wineries and cider mills up near Leelanau. Day three nothing much, then day 4 had us do most of the Tunnel of Trees, then a long ride back down 75 to home.

About 700 total miles of riding, most of it on 2 days.

We did a poor job of taking pics of the things we saw, mostly because we were riding or doing things. This trip was the test ride for our next run, which is up and around a good chunk of Lake Superior on the Canadian side.

Ha! I know the feeling, riding cool new roads and forgetting to stop for pics...

After this run, do you plan to add stuff to the bike?

Sounds like a great trip to ease into it. I know about the camera and photo thing. On my 1st trip I brought my old DSLR and 2 lenses, wouldn't fit in my tank bag so I took very few pictures. On the next trip I brought a smaller point and shoot. Took a lot more pictures and the quality was pretty decent too. I only had to stop and take it out my the tank bag to shoot, didn't even have to get off the bike sometimes.

Null 13 - I do need to add a few things, mostly for piece of mind. But, honestly, not much. I've got a small toolkit I'm carrying (combo wrenches, common sockets with a 3/8 and 1/2" drive, some extensions, pliers, and the like). I forgot to add Allen keys, so I'll pop those in. I also want to add in some common electrical repair bits (butt connectors, a small section of wire, some heatshrink tube, fuses), likely to fail bits (short cables), and like such as. That way we have a better shot of doing a roadside repair.

In terms of gear and farkles, probably won't add too much. I could see getting some additional storage, but the 37L Outback panniers and matching topcase set me up pretty well. We did buy a nice waterproof soft side cooler that gets bungeed to the back of my bike in front of the topcase - and that proved to be remarkably useful and it did keep things nice and cool.

Hank122 - it was bloody hot most of the time, so I wasn't inclined to take too many pics. I've got a few of the sunset and of us that I need to get downloaded and maybe I'll post, but we were in a bit of a hurry on the last day so even though I might've wanted to stop and get some pics, it wasn't happening. I've got a point and shoot which I could use, but honestly my Galaxy S6 takes really good pics, so I'd just use that normally.
