Finally was able to get away for 3 days. I left Tuesday for a short tour up to The White mountains of New Hampshire and Maine (mostly Maine) that traveled the longest and quietest part of rte 16 and ended up at Acadia National Park near Bar Harbor, Maine.
Total of about 900 miles up there and back to my home in southeastern Massachusetts.
The '06 Wee performed well with no problems on its first loaded trip. The only mishap was me dropping off steepish soft shoulder on rte 16 near Rangeley when I had stopped to make adjustments. It was a bit of a struggle to get it upright.
A few photos;
Stealth camping on the first night near Errol, NH.
The long and remote rte 16 in Maine, I didn't see a traffic light for over 200 miles.
Blackwoods campground in Acadia National Park. It's setup for 'Self Registration' in April ($15.) and was nearly full (surprisingly, though the RV section was closed)
Otter cove at 7:30am on the park loop road (one way) on the final day. Weather was warming by this point.
Sand beach also along the park loop. Very quiet (Nice!)
All went reasonably well, might have brought a bit too much gear and food but I feel ready for longer trips this upcoming season.
