Rever.co / rever android/iOS app

Has anyone tried the Rever app and/or the website? I just found it while in the early stages of planning about a week long trip and it looks pretty cool. Seems like the general reviews are fairly neutral, but the developer seems to respond to concerns and genuinely care in their replies.

Just looking for experience/feedback/comments/concerns with it

I agree with your assesment. I've been using it for a minute - and do enjoy it. I'm still waiting to win a challenge :-)

I've been using the Rever iOS app and the Rever website for about 500 miles of riding this spring. I really like the app. It's sleek and it seems to track accurately. I just use the website to import .gpx files from a different website that I prefer to use for route planning. Works pretty well.

Like you said, the developer is very responsive. I contacted them once on a Sunday with a not very pressing issue and received a reply that evening.

It seems to suck less battery juice than Google maps, which is what I was using before. No turn-by-turn on Rever tho.

I feel like the iOS version is a bit buggy and laggy sometimes. But overall works pretty good.

I'm going to try Google offline maps for navigating today. I suspect that it will use a lot less battery since it doesn't need took use the network for maps.

I used rever gain for a few weeks after posting on this thread and bailed on it and went to Waze. The competition thing was kind of neat but in my experience Rever app on the Iphone was super buggy this go round and the Waze app offeres a lot more utility than Rever for anyone who travels roads or commutes everyday. It's now replaced my use of googlemaps on my iphone for the most part. For off line or long distance use I use Co-Pilot or my ZUMO 550 and keep WAZE running in the background to offer up road reports.

I like Rever for its route planning since with it I get access to Butler maps. Sharing routes/rides with friends is a nice feature too.

I like Rever but the app itself isn't very useful for me since I can't figure out how to make it do turn by turn directions with my bluetooth.
Am I just missing something or can it not do this?

I have just been using the website to plan out a route, then I print out the map and type out the turn by turn directions and put it in my pocket.
