Part II. Dempster Hwy and the Arctic Circle 2015

Our entire trip was plagued by rain. We had to wear rain gear everyday for the two weeks we were on the road. Day one of the Dempster started out as bright and sunny. Despite being up until 3:30 am we determined we needed to take advantage of the good weather and make hay while the sun was shining. We left Dawson City in good spirits and ready to face the challenge ahead.

Behold, the Dempster Hwy:

Enjoyed that. Did not do the Dempster ( AWD with GF ) but did Top of the World and a few nasty patches of construction S of Tok. Was squirrely in the AWD and that black ick is incredibly slippery.

There was a convoy of 20 or so Harley riders from S America behind us ( the lead rider waved us ahead ). That must have been fun - first construction, then the border at Tok.

Good for you :

If you can believe it ...a girl from Toronto did the Dempster all the way and back on a BUSA.
Everyone says she was nuts to try but pulled off. Weather gods and tire gods smiled

Good music too

Thanks for that, that was sweet. Looking forward to the next one. One suggestion: maybe shorten the riding sections just a bit. The video drags on a bit and, as a viewer, once you've seen the same (albeit awesome) scenery for 30 seconds or so, consider switching on to the next scene.
