      I just got the older style Rigg Adventure Dry Bags. Not as nice as the new ones. No stiffener, no pad, different buckles, but I paid `$45 for them. Probably not what you want for daily riding though. I looked hard at the Rigg CL-855. I use a top case for daily riding. Waterproof and lockable. Just getting ready to mount one of these...RIDGID 22 in. Pro Tool Box, Black-222570 - The Home Depot

      In looking for a top box I stumbled upon this in another forum. RIDGID 22 in. Pro Tool Box, Black-222570 - The Home Depot
      
      Thought it looked like a viable solution for my needs. Bought a can of black PlastiDip and blacked out the orange panel and went to mounting.
      
      I bolted a piece of aluminum sheet to my existing luggage rack. Tapped existing holes to accept bolts.
      Then bolted stainless steel Uni-Strut (Kindorf) to the plate. Added captive channel nuts and, voila!, adjustable box mount.
      
      4 bolts with big fender washers through the bottom of the box and I have an adjustable, 4" fore and aft, 58 litre trunk!! Total investment, $70!
      
      At least it's not a milk crate...

      Ridgid toolbox from HD works great for me. Will not hold a helmet though. Which isn't a big deal for me because I keep all my other junk in there all the time. DEFINITELY waterproof.
