I bought a pair of the Bohn pants prior to the Reno ride a few weeks ago. Wore them there and back, and two days of riding there. About 1,500 miles altogether. My trip home (500 miles - one day) was the warmest day, several hours of high 80's low 90's. I wore the regular bohn pants, not the mesh, under black Levis'. The Bohn pants made me sweat more than just the jeans would have, but they dry very quickly even while riding.
Evaluation - cooler than my insulated Roadgear riding pants, warmer than just jeans, But with the added protection of the knee, thigh, hip, and tailbone pads.
Didn't like that they don't have a fly front, makes quick pit stops not so quick or easy.
One other dislike was the leg zippers. If I pulled the legs down into my boots the pressure of the boots caused the zipper tab to cut into my leg ( the scabs just fell off a few days ago, didn't want to stop to adjust while on the first day -500 miles). If I pull the pant legs up so the zipper is outside my boots the zipper leaves a very deep impression in my leg. The zippers are on the inside of the legs. An elastic leg bottom would be better IMO.
With a few changes - fly front for the guys and some other type of leg closure I would rate them excellent for cool-to-warm weather conditions. Hot weather, I'd look at the mesh style.
