I have owned a Givi Trekker 58L case and it was excellent. I called Givi/Kappa USA and spoke to a customer service rep and he assured me the Kappa quality is the same as Givi and also built in Italy.
I am located in the states but ordered a Kappa KVE48B from Moto-Central in the UK for having the best price. Mistake.
Upon opening the box, I immediately noticed the case’s top lid does not close flat and is too tight in the middle where the lock is, slightly curved on the lower edge and does not close flat on the sides. I immediately sent 3 pictures to Moto-Central and got a response from Danny telling me he is passing them on to his distributor.
To make a long pathetic story short, Danny said the distributor says that is normal design and there is nothing wrong with the box and Danny agrees. If anyone wants to read our text stream on this I would be happy to provide it in a pm...it is comical.

Danny said I could send it back for a refund but I have to pay return shipping. I looked on his site under returns and it clearly states they WILL PAY for defective products return shipping but Danny is unable or unwilling to see the defect as anyone can in the pictures so he will not cover the return shipping.
This post is a warning to others that every other Kappa KVE48A or KVE48B that I looked at online actually shows the lid edges not lining up…some worse than others. I believe they are all defective. The other sizes in both the Givi and Kappa lines look fine. Maybe that’s why Givi never made this size and Kappa is trying to unload the defective boxes and be done with it.
It’s possible that Danny never even sent the pictures to Kappa and just relied on some 3rd party distributor who also did not want to do the right thing and cover the return shipping.
What I also found out is PayPal does not protect buyers against sub-standard sellers to reimburse return shipping. They do have a program which I used which gave me $30 towards the $128 return shipping I paid.
After looking at other negative reviews of Moto-Central, this seems to be a common complaint.
I’ll pay more next time to Revzilla since they are honorable and provide real customer service.
IMHO…DANNY/MOTO-CENTRAL IS A DEFECTIVE COMPANY SELLING DEFECTIVE KAPPA MERCHANDISE. BEWARE.
