Caribou Luggage and Racks

Finally sold my Honda NC700X and decided to bite the bullet and purchase a set of the 33 Liter Caribou cases and racks for my new '17 650 XT.

Looked around to find something less expensive, but the Caribou set was very competitive compared to Shad, Givi, etc. Plus they look better IMO.

Thoughts - Racks were very easy to install and very robust compared to previous Givi racks I have had. The cases are very well built (I went with the Pelican brand) and heavier than the Givi cases I had on a previous V Strom. Lots of nuts, bolts and brackets to put together before the case is ready to mount. First one took about 20-25 minutes, second one about 5 minutes. I only had to adjust the lock mechanism on each case to fit them correctly and that was it. Cases go on easy and come off easy. Same key locks the cases and locks the cases to the rack.

Overall I am impressed with the complete set up and can't wait to pack up and take off somewhere. The only problem I had was my bigger Givi top box will not fit between the cases, but my smaller one fits just fine. So I may sell it or may decide to keep it and use it with my soft throw over bags for shorter trips.

Two thumbs up to Caribou !!
