SW-MOTECH Trax Evo Side Cases (panniers)

After researching all day on-line and talking to friends, I bit the bullet and dropped $1200 US on the SW-MOTECH Trax EVO side cases, rack and quick lock kit. I went with the black finish. I was hesitant to spend a third of what I paid for my '03 DL1000 but it's what I wanted. Here's a stock pic of the bags on an older Vee like mine. I will keep you posted on the install, quality and function.

Look forward to your review. I know I have been quite satisfied with mine (excluding the price as you noted).

I have the Suzuki version of the same box. It is shocking how much stuff you can really carry in them. Make sure you balance your load and keep the heaviest stuff low, inboard and forward if possible. I've done our family grocery shopping on several occasions, and had no problems. Mind you, I,m not doing cases of Costco paper towels, but I can bring home a week's worth of meat, produce, dairy and canned goods.

Of course they are great for camping trips too.

Once, I unloaded my bike into the trunk of my wife's mid-sized car and it took up about half of the space. We were both surprised.

I have found that if there is a strong blowing rain from the rear, they do leak.

Don't like mine, too wide/bulky and yes they can leak.
