Thumbs down Mounting Zega Pro Aluminum Panniers, Touratech

Has anyone mounted those panniers on a 2014 or later V-1000 ?
Did all four attachment points, per side, lign up perfectly ?
What is the trick with attaching the mounting frame on right/muffler side?
Have not yet been able to get the mounting holes from pannier mounting frame to align with mating point on bike frame. The farthest back under the seat are the main culprits.
The three spacers, per side, do not make the task any easier.

Thank you,
Juergen

I hope this is not a dumb question, but are you leaving them finger loose until all bolts are threaded, then work your way around tightening them?

Yes, I am leaving all bolts loose, using up space the slotted holes provide to get things lies up. I think the answer is patience ! After all, it is German engineering, it'll fit eventually.

Panniers mounted, reason for difficulties found. I had to exchange the molded plastic parts below the seat, which were the ones accommodating the Suzuki panniers, with the standard ones. After that mounting Touratech
frame was a piece of cake.
