Trying to decide on a top case for the 650...

mostly for commuting, Just want to be able to put one helmet, pants, jacket and gloves in there.....and maybe squeeze in my boots in if there is room, but those aren't that big of deal.

I think I am down to these choices. What do you guys think?

Givi V56nn Maxia 4
Givi V56nn Maxia 4 | MotoStorm

With the Maxia 4, I was thinking about these as side cases

Givi E41nn Keyless Black
Givi E41nn Keyless Black | MotoStorm

OR
I could go Trekker. I like the black. Would do either the 46 or 52 on top....or maybe start with a 33 and then be able to move it to the side later.

Givi Trk52b Black Line Black
Givi Trk52b Black Line Black | MotoStorm

Or I could mix and match, I guess. Something like this (not my bike, but would look just like it):

Givi V56nn Maxia 4. This the one I fitted to my 1000. Works great. Very happy with it. Plenty of room. Good luck with your choice. John

Thank you! Did you get side cases with yours and if so, what kind? Do you have a picture?

My E52 can fit my full face helmet, and my aerostich suit, if it's rolled up really tightly. I don't think you'll be able to get boots in any of them in addition to other gear. Go as big as you can afford or can find the best deal on.

Finally got my Givi V56NN Maxia 4 and I installed it tonight. That was WAY harder than I expected. Partially because it is HOT here in Bama and I had the garage open.

I got the SR3101 mount. I did have some trouble with the nuts you have to hold to tighten down the top bolts. If you have done this I am sure you know what I mean. It is a tight fit getting under there and I had no light! (Hoping I did it right!) Did you guys get the top plate that says "Givi" screwed down. Mine came with the smallest screws and that I could not find a screw driver small enough to fit on the head that would also allow me to get any leverage to get them down tight enough. So I just left the plate off. You know how these things are, "wait. did I do that right??"...

Anyway, the case can fit my huge Schuberth XL helmet, my jacket and pants all at once, which I am pretty happy with. This will allow me to bring my shirt to work without wearing it there along with my work shoes. It will also allow me to leave all of my protective gear in the top case and walk in basically ready minus changing my shirt and shoes. Obviously, this helps on small trips to the grocery store.

Now I am thinking about side cases....It never ends!

Either leave it off (It can make an irritating rattle) Or when you find a screwdriver small enough, put a thin bead of silicone around the inside edges so it doesn't rattle.
