I installed VBX bearings when I did my wheel conversion three years ago (almost to the day). Dropped my wheels off today for new rubber, and the shop called to tell me all my bearings were notchy. I reviewed my purchases for part numbers, and the reviews on those bearings are now in the tank. Lots of 1-star reviews, and one customer said he didn't even get 5k miles out of them.

The shop can get good rear bearings, but they can only get the same front bearings already in there. I ordered Nachi bearings (great ratings) today and will drop them off at the shop when they come in next week. Hopefully they last longer than the ~12k I have on these.

Have you tried boca bearings?

For bearings I usually just take the old ones down to the local bearing house and have them match them up and buy whatever the best one is that they have in that size.
Never a problem, and often cheaper than ordering bearings of unknown quality off the internet.
