Hinshaws rant !!!.

Ok I have to go on a rant,I've held it back for over a month but no longer.
I traded in my V for a Honda NC700x about a month ago.I took it in and the sales MANAGER looked at it and gave me a trade in price and I thought it was fair.I went and got the loan and showed up with the bike and was ready to make the deal.
They took the V around back and then told me I would need to add $500 because the chain and sprockets were shot..$500 !!!!!!.
We fought about it and I told them the manager looked at and gave me a price, finally after a hour they did the deal with $0 from me.
They told me that all they could sell it for was around $4,500.The V needed chain, sprockets, tires( they were at 50% ) and it was well used at 46,000 miles.
Today I stopped there to get a filter for the X and guess what??,There was my V for $5,999 !!!!.
Anyway I'm done with my rant,I understand they need to make money but they just out right lied to me all the way thru this whole deal.I didn't trust them before and they will never get another penny from me !!!.

Doesn't mean they will get $5999 for it.... Of course they lied to you... afterall dealers ARE in the Weasel family.... You shouldn't be surprised at all. In fact you should expect it....

Selling motorcycles is a business. They aren't there to make friends of the occasional buyer.
When you make the deal you should be happy and then fugetaboutit!
Something about 'never look back' should apply to transactions.

I agree and disagree. Not all stealerships are created equal. My local Triumph dealer is great. Suzuki, not so much. Just the way it goes sometimes. Local owned shops and not mega dealers are usually better IF they sell what you want. M2c.

They call them stealerships for a reason.

there are a few places that have tried the bait and switch on me. offering me a hard dollar and then trying to change it.

Dick Hannah dealerships for cars is a bad one. they almost always call you 2-3 days after you take your new car home and say some crud about oh your trade neede this or that so we need you to bring in $x.XX. It happened to 3 friends and my mom. I was going to buy a jeep from them they told me the color and options i wanted werent available so I choose from what htey had on the lot, when I went to get the personals from my trade they had parked it right next to the color and options I wanted. I asked a salesman that i hadnt worked with if that was sold and was told it was available but it was a premium vehicle and they wanted to sell the ones out front and put that one in the showroom. I rescinded my deal and left in my trade.

Keiths Guns in Gresham. Offered me X dollar for a trade at the gun show but said I would have to come into the shop. and then dropped it $120 when I went into the shop to do the deal. I wouldn't give that guy a squirt of urine if he was on fire.

I also dont do business with..

Bufalo Wild wings
Jerad Jewlers
Pizza hut
Toys R' US

those are political.

Do a honest good job and the coustomer will tell a friend, do them wrong and they will tell ALL their friends. For some reason this doesnt apply to dealerships... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.

Most successful sales people are dishonest weasels.... Not saying I advocate it, just saying... Don't get me started on lawyers and real estate agents...

Did anyone not read this: "I traded in my V for a Honda NC700x". Obviously the OP is of questionable morals, but yet you are talking about stealerships.

Just kidding enjoy the new ride.
