New Oregon MC Laws

We can now legally stand on the pegs thanks to sb878. One of my favorite things to do. We can also move through a dead red light after one full cycle has passed. Nice to do it legally now.

Thanks. I also stand often. Now I don't have to worry about getting pulled over.

On a long ride if my butt hurts I stand up and I don't care what the law says!

me too. or for my knees, or to get some cool wind. it's a common tactic for rough surfaces like rail road tracks and rising off the seat/weight on the pegs is a great off road position.

14 tooth for me

But you guys are still waiting on lane splitting, I understand...

It's the only good thing about riding in California. Except the weather, I guess.

2011 DL650 ABS, just getting started...

C'mon, we've got decent weather, great canyons and scenery and lane splitting - a trifecta of riding delights

I had heard that standing up on the pegs was illegal, but has anyone ever actually been pulled over for doing so? (at least in Oregon anyway)

This is the first bike I've owned in which standing was an option.

Tried it for the first time after owning my Wee for about a week- Exhilarating! Now that I'm hooked, I'm glad to learn it's not going to get me pulled over...

Oregon has investigated lane splitting the last two legislative sessions.

I was just thinking the same thing and then seen your post. Who in the hell can say it's illegal to stretch your legs or air a fart out by standing on the pegs?!
