So this happened...

Brought home a 2012 DL 650 last night. I bought it used with 880 miles on it. It was a shame to let such a fine machine sit unused any longer.

Nice find. Enjoy it. I love my 2012. I often miss Seattle. Good bike vibe in that town.

Nice looking bike! This reminds me of when I bought my wife's 2007 wee in 2012 with only 900 miles on it. Got a crazy deal on it from a BMW dealer in SF.

Love the orange

Cheers

Congrats Sean! A lot better announcement than looking for wheel repair.

Thanks everyone. The bike is actually quite impressive, even for a longtime v-strom owner. It power is even more linear, cruises easily at 80 and returns 69 mpg hwy and 55 city. Yeah, it's orange. I might add some pink polka dots to liven things up a bit more. I took it out for a couple short rides this past weekend. One down in Enumclaw's area. Lake Holm Road and others along the Green River are quite nice.

@Lonestrom, The DR350S just got a fresh rebuild. That's the WaBDR bike.

The hard part about buying a new bike (and rebuilding another) is having cash left over for the farkles. That might take some extra work hours.
