Any Wrench Days Scheduled in PDX?

I was wondering if there were any maintenance/wreching days scheduled any time soon in the PDX area. Busted a chain that did some other damage and need to get the beast back on the road. It is killing me.

Nothing that I know of scheduled but its not difficult to Sched one.

What happened beyond the chain letting loose? Are you getting chain and sprocket from Blair?

Can you get your bike to a meet up or are you needing a hand fixing your bike at your place?

Well the chain got loose on a trip to Bend over the summer and had to have someone over there help me tighten it back up. After I got back everything seemed good, but it broke on the way to work a day or two later. There was some oil leakage and I have been way too much of a wimp to look to see how much damage was done.

I figure I will contact Blair about a chain. The sprocket and chain were replaced by Pro Caliber about 1500 miles ago so I hope it is only the chain. Purchased brake pads and some other things from him in the past, so he is one of my prime choices for parts.

I do have a pickup truck so I can get it to a meet up if there was one scheduled. I can also buy beer and have people over to my place if need be as well. I have a Craftsman lift and lots of tools.

After it the chain broke I was so ticked off that I just parked it in the garage and it has been there for several months. Now I can't stand it and have to get it back on the road.

I 1500 mile chain shouldn't have broken even if you did zero maintenance. without looking at it I'm guessing at best but it sounds like the chain was set to tight.

Did the oil come from the front sprocket cover? if so there could be damage to the engine case (worst case scenario) Or the slave Clutch slave may be damaged.

Don't post your address or anything but where abouts in The 'couve are ya? I grew up on that side of the river, maybe I can pop over and we can scope out the situation so you have an idea what you need to do.

I'm a great supervisor, even have my own chair!

I'll be putting this back in soon, most likely the weekend of the 8-9th. Waiting for a 54mm impact socket to get the dang flywheel off, should be here next week.
