Last Hoora of Summer ride

I got a few extra days off of work next week so I decided to take advantage of the end of summer weather and take a trip. I have driven most of these roads, but never rode them. I have been wanting to ride them for years, so what the hell, why not now.

Here is what I came up with. http://goo.gl/maps/nKPg5

I am pretty happy with what I routed but if anyone has any suggestions for this route please chime in. Must see, must eats, or must rides.

Also if anyone wants to fall in line as I blast thru your neck of the woods, or wants to join me for a few days feel free. Just a heads up, I do ride at a very spirited pace in the twisties.

Probably a little late, now

But I think that's a good route. I'd suggest going on to Joseph to have a look at the Wallowa Lake area.

How about SR-20 to eastern Washington, then pick a route down the Idaho panhandle. Or 20 to Newport, then US-2 to Kalispell and US-93 south. Lots of fun choices....

I'm leaving tomorrow afternoon and meeting up with GarbageMarc and CBRXXESS in Spokane. So i wont have time to hit 20, plus once a year is good enough for me on 20.

OH and if you come up 129 (great road by the way). Eat at Boggan's Oasis:

Anatone, WA 99401

I've camped in Fields Spring State Park and it was a delight. Quiet, no one there, and deer roaming the campsite. There is a good hiking trail out of the park out to some great view points!

Looks like you had a great ride! One day I will have vacation days I can actually use for a personal trip (not a go visit family on the east coast trip) and will go do something similar...A boy can dream I suppose.
