Ride along North Fork Snoqualmie: NF Road 5700

Here's the Map

I'm wondering if anyone else has explored this area. It seems to be mostly on privately owned land until you get into the National Forest, but I think my route is on either a county or National Forest Service road.

My route was recorded on Google MyTracks, which seems to work pretty well off of GPS when you're outside of cell range. It's really nice for recording your location when you're exploring and only have a vague idea of where you are.

I want to head out into this area again. I think there's an old fire lookout tower on the top of one of those peaks. Last time I went out there, I hit snow and turned back.

Pics from this weekend.

I went exploring this weekend. Road conditions were mostly dry hard packed dirt with medium gravel for the first 10 or so miles, with a bit of pretty slick mud in places for the last 10 miles. The National Forest begins 15 miles from the end of pavement, but I believe the road in is a county road. It is lined with no trespassing signs until you get to the National Forest. A little after National Forest sign, there are a few camp sites along the river, but the mosquitoes are so thick you'd want to cover yourself with DEET if you stop. The road had a fallen tree that I couldn't get past 19.5 miles in, but it looked like some people on smaller bikes had gone under it. If I'd had a hand saw or machete with me, I could have gotten through too. I passed probably 6 other vehicles the whole way.
