Pennsylvania Road Trip! Dirt/Street

I am planning a trip from Michigan to Port Jarvis, NY. I want to hit the "Pennsylvania Grand Canyon" on the way there. On the way back I am planning on hitting the southern part of PA. I want to hit Centralia and make my way toward Wheeling, WV. Does anyone have any suggestion for good roads both dirt and street along the way? Any other suggestions on attractions to hit along the way? Good camp sights?

If anyone is interested in joining me for all or part of the trip let me know. My plan is to start from Michigan on June 22nd and be home by the 25th.

Thanks

It is always something...

Camp site near Winesburg OH

Just NE of Winesburg Ohio, on US62, is a campsite run by some Amish folks. The campsite is clean and quiet, and offers free firewood, all OAK! Do not expect to buy beer there.

If you stay there and head west in the morning, you will enjoy a ride through Holmes County, which I found to be pleasant and scenic. OH-39 is a simple secondary road that I enjoyed riding in August 2008.

Wave to the horses, and tell them I sent you.

So, where abouts is this grand canyon? I am in that state at this time and when I looked at the map, there is nothing decent to ride on, so any hint would be nice.

Cheers

From Port Jervis take Rt. 97 up along the Delaware River through the (famous?) Hawks Nest. You could run all the way up to Hancock, cross the river and come back down the PA side. Nice twisties and I'm sure they're some dirt roads if you look.

From Hancock south go into NY and run down through the Delaware Water Gap National Rec. Area in NJ. Just keep making rights and go along the river. Called Old Mine Rd, supposed to be the oldest in the country and some mixed paved/gravel. Sure you can find some fun stuff in there, and then at the bottom of the park, cross back into PA on I80 and take Rt. 611 S. along the river. Can run that all the way to Philly if you want to before making a right somewhere.

Deep Creek Lake, MD

Heading to Wheeling, you might like to swing south out of PA into western MD (Garrett County) to Deep Creek Lake. Take US 220-S into Cumberland, MD and head west on I-68 or US 219-S directly thru Accident, McHenry to the lake area.
Mountains, twisties, but watch out for MD smokies, they can radar you as you approach them from the opposite direction (they got me on Rt 220 before Cumberland)
Deep Creek has a state park for camping, some hotels but mainly resort rentals.
I understand this w.e and the begining of next week the weather may be a little wet
