GripTwister Tours

The book is called Olympic Mountains Loop GPS Tour For Garmin Brand GPS Receivers.
It's published by GripTwister Dual Sport Adventure Motorcycle Tours and is a handy, wirebound book on waterproof paper.
Most important, it has a disk of routes that you load on your Garmin, a GPSMap 62ST in my case, and it gives you turn by turn directions, plus points of interest along the way.
The loop is about 700 miles and is broken down into 8 segments. Though you could pick it up anywhere, officially it starts and ends in Hoodsport. 90% of it is unpaved FS roads. 5% is pavement. 5% is singletrack trails.
There were defintely a few places where the DR650 and I were put to the test and I wouldn't dream of trying it on a DL. One in particular, where I went over the handlebars and broke my thumb, comes to mind...
But outside of those few places, most of it is DL650 friendly.

that sound good. What guy in Shelton?

I know some back roads, but didn't hear about a book
The DL does fine on the gravel, and some trails (but it's not a DR !)

Yes, go north at the Trolls, more or less till the road ends.
I sold my fire road DR650 and bought the DL650, so I haven't been on them yet with this bike, but have ridden most of the Olympic circuit published by the guy down in Shelton.
I'll shoot a note your way when I get a free day and the weather supports a ride.
Could meet at Hurricane Coffee in Sequim, as an idea.

As I expected (and a great little company)

I mentioned for humor, and I noted my ISP can track the websites I browse (and we are a small town ). I imagine he must get some hits from folks non-electrical component searches.

We have a town of Beaver , next to Sapho (sic), who wrote the story of the greek Island of Lesbos. Sometimes my mind wonders

Hey ...

I just noticed we are neighbors.
I'm in Hansville.
Not sure where on the OlyPen you are located, but I'd be glad to help with the install if you'd like.
With one person, it takes about 90 minutes. Two people should cut the time down to about 3 hours ...
