txrb182sc The Gladius's engine is not the same as the SV650's, they've "retuned" or whatever for more HP/torque or something. The SV650's engine design is pretty old and tame and they felt they could do a little more with it since it's been a while since that engine came out.

Augdaug When on a trip to Gatlinburg with some other riding buddies I stopped by the local Suzuki dealers and asked them why there weren't any 'Strom '10s listed. She said that Suzuki decided not to manufacture '10 models due to the sour economy. But how come everyone else is making '10s?

greywolf Suzuki brought very few bike models into the USA for 2010 because of the economy. References to 2010 DLs in this thread were actually for the few times the Canadian site got cross referenced with the USA site accidentally earlier in the year. 2010 V-Stroms and other larger bike models were never brought into the USA by Suzuki.

dkbellga Appears the 2010 DLs have been pulled from the Suzuki website altogether now. I may be very late to a Duh party, but I am just now evaluating a return to the Wee. What gives with no 2010 models listed?

(BTW, I searched and found nothing, not that my searching abilities are perfect...thx)

Finally! Somebody posted a comment on this thread that wasn't about a V-Strom! I didn't want to be the first, or to have to go to Off-Topic, but I want to know about the Gladius -- same engine as the SV-650 (does that mean the same as the DL-650?). Is there an ABS version of the Gladius? I'm just being impatient, right?

NOT knocking my V-Strom!!!!! But my wife can't ride a 'Strom by herself. She's presently "stuck" on a VT-600 show bike.

Wow...That'll put the resale value up for our bikes...but I won't part with mine. Hmm..better buy a bigger lock.

BTW, my uncle with the Patch and Pegleg and the Parrot on his shoulder told me that Suzuki is dropping the Vee in the USA starting 2011. And I told two friends so it must be true.
