Thanks for this... I will consider it if these people don't get off their ass. Right now I am $9800 Otd for the 2014 dl 1000 adventure.

Are they local? If so, they shouldn't be treating you like crap because future business is at stake. If they are out of state and know you're going to buy the bike and not be back, then unfortunately you may not be their highest priority at the moment. Still doesn't warrant that kind of shitty customer service though. I would just ask for the manager or leave a message telling the sales clown that you will take your business elsewhere if he doesn't treat you better, even if it costs a little more.

I see several 2014 and 2015 regular versions (DL1000 ABS) on Cycletrader for around $8000 in the deep south, one or two in Alabama. You don't need to put up with that crap when you're ready to buy.
Yeah, they are local. And I only see really one of the others here that are actually local but still they would have to ship the bike from one of their other locations. Maybe that is what I should do, I don't know. I guess I will give them until tomorrow morning. I may just go buy the ST...lol.

cavenger What is wrong with these salesmen not calling you back? I mean I have waited all day for this guy to call me back and I actually spoke to him on the phone and he still hasn't gotten back to me.

Adventure worth the extra expense?

At the price you are getting it for it is worth the extras. The bags are OK and look nice on the bike. You can always change them. New bags are crazy expensive and need to be installed. The engine guards are GREAT! They do not vibrate and I have needed them. They are sturdy! New ones would be around 300 I guess and they you have to install. Knuckle guards are good and keep your hands warm in winter. Not great for running into a tree but not terrible. Taller windscreen. New one at least 115? The plastic under cowling is shit but it is still more than what he ABS comes with. My only huge complaint is no center stand! Neither has one. Get the ADV model and then change what you want.
