Just visited my Suzuki dealer...missed a floor closeout on a 2016 V Strom 1000 Adventure...$10,000 out the door, sold yesterday. I came in looking for the new 2017 650xt. Nice bike.

Check with Southeast Georgia Motorsports. I was about to buy from them when I found a steal on a used '16. They have the 2016 DL1000 ADV for 10649.00 and no fees. NONE. He had 2 and said he was anxious. Make an offer and get a '16 (no recalls) instead of a '14. He was friendly on the phone.

Well that sucks. Sorry to hear of the trouble, especially when you want to buy the bike. Not sure what info you are waiting on, and I don't know the situation with the dealer, your proximity, etc. Dealers are in business to make money, and on a price like that they're not making much on the deal. Are they local? If so, they shouldn't be treating you like crap because future business is at stake. If they are out of state and know you're going to buy the bike and not be back, then unfortunately you may not be their highest priority at the moment. Still doesn't warrant that kind of shitty customer service though. I would just ask for the manager or leave a message telling the sales clown that you will take your business elsewhere if he doesn't treat you better, even if it costs a little more.

I see several 2014 and 2015 regular versions (DL1000 ABS) on Cycletrader for around $8000 in the deep south, one or two in Alabama. You don't need to put up with that crap when you're ready to buy.

I almost wish this wasn't the adventure model. Just doesn't seem worth that extra expense.
