Our own personal experiences define our judgement.....I have track time, three years (2 with a x card) and I've said my peace. That ride was over dramatic and for show, not go which is very easy to see if you watch the two vids back to back for those not quite as sure of what they are watching...but again, my experience has been with racing, others might not be familiar with that.
All that said, I have respect that the ride was a tribute to his fallen friend, the same way I respected Monkeygrass's decision to leave us when he lost his friend. Ride safe and sane.

If this is the video you meant: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCWy-...eature=related
I watched it and can't say that kid was a bad rider! He had a couple bubbles at the start and then killed the ride. Less then a dozen bad lines IMHO. And if you notice not a lot of braking either. That is not an easy road to ride. Now I don't really think that the kid could have outrun yellowwolf. I've seen him ride and its amazing. The duck had a lot more accel in the straights but the GL would have kept up.
All in all I thought it was a pretty good ride. I also have a feeling the video cut off about when YW went for the pass....
Now how many of you put down the knee?

|BlueRidgeWee||About the 999 vid...If you read the comments yellow wolf himself said the 999 rider was much faster then he could keep up with had it been a race. The vid was also made for a deceased friend... maybe we could be a bit easier on the 999 rider...|

Yellow Wing is more then likely the rider of the gold wing in the video. I have seen him film a great deal of bikes on Deals gap (i live here). He is exceptionally smooth and quick on the gap.
You will not find anyone not carrying a "pro card" that will walk off and leave him. You will find precious few who ride who can keep up with him.

The Duck rider should really go tuck his ego and go to SB school...any school and learn lines and how to be smoooooth.
Then again, I didn't see anything that identified the camera man, did anyone else? Maybe the Duck rider knows YW's deal and simply SAID that it was filmed by YW for props...I don't know either way. What I do know is that half of this club could beat that guy on his own fav road!

I'd say rider, but I serious embarased a couple of Duc's on my week end ride last week, and I'm a crap rider.
O.K. roads were wet , and tight , and bumpy with no long straights - but basically I had both them everywhere other than top speed. I was out-braking them, out cornering them, and had better acceleration out of the corners.
And - that was on a 650 .
DL's kick butt.
