shawmutt You want to get really depressed? Set up a Google news alert with the word "motorcycle".

I set it up hoping to get cool bike news from time to time. Instead I got a daily obituary. I deleted the alert.

Another fatality

I am taking a class at a local college and read the following article in the school paper about a recent motorcycle fatality.

“According to the San Bernardino Coroner’s report, _____ was riding his 2003 Suzuki motorcyle at what was considered a “high rate of speed” on Highway 18, five miles north of Green Valley Lake Road in the Running Springs area. He then attempted to pass another motorist on the right shoulder when he lost control of his bike, collided with a tree and was thrown off. He was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center where he remained in intensive care [and where he died a few weeks later].”
