Looking for loaner/rental end of August

Hey folks,

Been on this forum for years, I will be in Maine in the end of August, wanted to check out the Killington classic rally when I am there, but won't have my bike with me. Does anyone have a rental or a loaner bike that I could ride for a couple of days? Lewiston rental has a gold wing, but i wanted something a little less bulky.

If anyone wants to meet there, I should be there on the 30th, got a plane to catch on the 1st.

they have a Gold wing, which is what I plan on using. Was hoping to find a more friendly bike. I was going to do the Killington Classic in VT which would make for some nice riding while I'm up in the Northeast. I have a couple of days in the end of August which just might coincide with this ride. Hope to bring my Tenere back to Maine if I land work. Have to see how it goes.

thanks

Maybe you could update this thread as this unfolds for you? If I can get a chance to sneak away, it would be nice to meet you.

Barry, I have ridden with Clem many a time. The experience is always
entertaining and educational, because Clem can ride rings around me
in all conditions. He is a terrific leader and I admire him bunches.
You would enjoy each other's company.

So if you can meet Clem, you will enjoy the encounter enormously.

Keith

Thanks Keith,

I always have a great time riding with you as well. I have been very busy with things up North so it has kept me off my bike for too much this year.

Barry I will certainly let you know when I am riding.

I'll be riding to Vermont on the 30th also, but I'll be heading a littler further north to the Warren/Waitsfield area for the Green Mountain Stage Race. I'll be leaving from the Portland area. I haven't decided what route I'll be taking. Maybe we could ride together part of the way.

I would like to leave the early AM of the 29th so I can have 2 days of riding. I only have 2 days to ride, thought I would throw it in around the rally, but nothing is cast in stone at this point. I ride Florida year round and I am dying to ride something other than flat. But it is a possibility.

My sister said I could use her bike, man that was nice of her, and I want to thank you all for the offers that I got.

You stromtroopers are the best riders anywhere bar none.

I want to go to this Killington classic in VT, so my plan is to leave sometime on the 28th from Lewiston or so and ride the area on the 29th and the 30th. I know that's on the early side of the rally, but I have no choice, since my flight is booked already for my return.

I will post more details as the month evolves.

Now if any of you have any rides during the later part of August, post up I would like to meet the locals.

want to ride the week of the 20th

Work plans have changed, therefore, I will be riding the week of the 20th in Maine someplace. If anyone wants to do a day trip some place give me a shout. I have a loaner from my sister.
