let me ask a stupid question

Maybe I should know this but I don't........I am in the market for a set of after-market brakes (2008 wee) and I see them advertised for a DL650A or DL650K. Is there a difference and if so, what is it? I appreciate any input that you may have.

The DL650A are V-Stroms with ABS.

Moe said, "Are you sure it's okay to fish there?" And Curly said, "Sure, there's a sign that says Fine for Fishing."

... and the K is always followed by a number, and is the year code for 2000-2009.
DL650K7 = wee non-ABS 2007
DL650AK7 = wee ABS 2007

2009 DL650A - sold

2005 DL650 - dearly departed
"I am enthusiastic over humanity's extraordinary and sometimes very timely ingenuities. If you are in a shipwreck and all the boats are gone, a piano top buoyant enough to keep you afloat that comes along makes a fortuitous life preserver. But this is not to say that the best way to design a life preserver is in the form of a piano top.
I think we are clinging to a great many piano tops in accepting yesterday's fortuitous contrivings as constituting the only means for solving a given problem." - R. Buckminster Fuller

The brakes changed for the 650 between 2006 and 2007. 2007 and later brake calipers and disks are the same whether ABS or not. 2006 and earlier did not have ABS available.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s
