Garage
Illinois Honda Yamaha Motorcycle ATV Dealer - Nielsen Enterprises, Inc. - Kawasaki Polaris Sea Doo Ski Doo Arctic Cat Can Am Jet boat Scooter Snowmobile Watercraft Trailer is where I got a TBS. It's the only time I've ever taken my bike to a dealer. The mechanic only left one bolt untightened. That's better than my usual luck. FAQ: Dealer Mode & FI Error Codes tells you how to pinpoint the problem spot.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

thanks!

Thanks! I'm glad to hear they are familiar with the V Strom. I did print out info from another thread about the FI codes etc...which I can give to the mechanic. I was hoping I could find someone to work on it as dealerships are so backed up right now :-( I wish I was mechanically inclined!!
Thank you for the speedy response!

If you ride down to Huntley I can help you pull the codes and get started. I should be around this weekend (although the wife has a baby due any day now so that could change). I had my strom together and apart a dozen times while I owned it, and same with my fathers bike. The codes should not be very hard to pull. Got any other maintenece you have to do at the same time?
