$100 Hamburger

Aviation buffs will be familiar with the book (and subscriber website) at http://www.100dollarhamburger.com It's a collection of small airport restaurants worthy for use as recreational destinations (as in, where do you want to fly today? - lets go down to Hagerstown and get a burger...) Of course, it'll cost ya a hundred dollars in fuel to get there, hence the name. The book is available for ~$20 through places like Amazon.com, btw.

So I'm sitting here on Sunday morning with beautiful (cold) sunny autumn-like weather and I want to take a ride. Maybe get a bite to eat while I'm out. Where should I go?

What are your favorite ride-n-eat destinations for a day like today?

You're close enough to New Castle (near Coshocton) to get a hamburger at Peggy Sue's, and gobble up some great pie, and SR 715 / SR 206 while you're there. Be about a $20 hamburger, I figure, hour and a half from ya.

I think that book should be changed to the $300 hamburger, with the aviation gas prices now. I've seen that book, good stuff.

Ragged Point, highway 1 Ca between Morro Bay & Monterey. Even if the food wasn't any good the ride is worth it.

The Boathouse is a nice place to eat in Marietta, OH. An outdoor patio overlooking the banks of the Muskingum River, shaded by large trees, watching the boats go by.
About two tanks of gas and 8 hours to get there for us but a little closer for you Ohio guys.
