Penny Tech, dampner rod rebound holes
For those that are contemplating closing off the rebound holes in the dampner rod, and either dont have access to a acetylene torch for brazing or dont wish to be so "permanant"....
I found that a 1/16" rivet fits perfectly in the hole. In the event I wish to revert back, all I have to do is drill out the rivet.
Some use JB Weld or similar products, but even that would require drilling out as well as waiting for curing prior to reassembly.
Just my .02 for the day.
Cheers!

Nice trick.
Although I do have a gas torch setup, a MAPP gas "plumber's style" torch and a brazing rod will work fine. Stores like Home Depot, Lowe's, and local hardware stores, (here in the states), has them., (they are good for sweating pipe joints together and for heating up the countersprocket nut for removing.).
The brazed hole can be drilled out if needed.
