Unhappy Blue Loctite = Metal ONLY!!!

Dumb dumb here put blue loctite on screws that had plastic threads. Ruined my Givi side cases locking mechanisms.

So, just in case I'm not the only dummy around, DO NOT USE BLUE LOCTITE ON PLASTIC!! It will eat up and disintegrate your plastic leaving you with a sad, empty feeling of regret.

Two wheelz for realz!

Dont use loctite of ANY color on plastic threads. If you feel you must use something-and outside of a fear of water intrusion you must-, silicone sealant will work.

Another unfortunate victim of the alleged cure all for tightening fasteners. There are those that swear by liquid lockers and some like me that don't use it.
I don't have recurring loose bolts and screws.
Have I had bolts come loose, yes. I didn't tighten them properly and loctite probably won't work well if the fastener isn't tightened properly in the first place.
If you know what you are doing and know which product is the appropriate choice for the purpose, then have at it.
Otherwise we get the sad news that you have subjected yourself to a unfortunate predicament.
