Bill Mayer Custom Saddles

I recently got my Bill Mayer Custom Saddle; it's the stock DL-1000 seat modified and re-covered. I felt that the stock seat was wide enough, but it felt flat and hard and really hurt after about an hour. So I sent my seat out to BMS, which seems to be either Bill Mayer Saddles or "Best Motorcycle Seats." They turned my seat around in less than two days The weather in the northeast has been horrible this year, but I managed to get out for a bit on December 23rd. It was going to be just a little jaunt...which turned into a 4-1/2 hour ride. My husband was not happy with me for disappearing for so long, but my rear end is ecstatic. The seat now fits like a glove. I don't slide forward any more, it's still easy to put my feet down, and what originally felt like a plank is now a wonderfully comfortable cradle. And, guess what, it's NOT hideously ugly! I'm really glad I went this way instead of Russell.

Great that the seat fits you to a 'T'. Curious, if it was Bill MAyer or Rocky Mayer. I Got a seat topper from Rocky Mayer for my BMW. The lower cost alternative to a full-on rework.
I've seen his men at work at rallies. They take great care to insure the shape fits your behind. The prefer if you go for test rides as they get the shape just right.

Rick Mayer is out of business. None too soon. The people he screwed over are numerous. Probably hurts Bill Mayer just having a similar name!

Funny, the gentleman I first talked to said his name was Rocky. And I'm very happy with the seat, as I said.

I think I have made a mistake! Not Rocky Mayer, but "Rick" Mayer. Don't know why I wrote Rocky. My bad!

Yah, Rocky is a neat guy. Very personable. He wants your butt to be happy.
The Rick/Rocky confusion is why I asked. I had heard the rumors about Rick. Rocky I've met and dealt with.

Actually, joined at the parentage, Brothers. Rocky seems to be carrying on the Dads' tradition a bit more successfully.
Hey, not to worry you have a seat that suits you. Enjoy endless miles!
