my dl1000k3 front spring is 17" <--automatic replace?

Hello all
I would appreciate a quick response to I can simply order the parts I need - I took apart my k3 dl1000 forks and I measured the spring - 17" not 17.4. Isn't that simply an automatic replacement?

After 35 years of not riding, I started back with an '86 K75, then a '94 r1100rs and, gladly, have arrived at a 2003 dl1000.
I live near the CNE and I am having some fun.

What made you check, bad damping or too much sag? I would use a PVC spacer, if it were troubling me. Make sure that both sides are the same. If that did not resolve the matter, then maybe a replacement or time for a spring upgrade.

I made the choice not to replace mine (same measurements as yours). Now a few years down the road, I wish I had.

It's one of those 'round-tuit jobs I never seem to get to.

DL1000K6 Two wheels good; four wheels bad.

I (should know better) didn't realize I am not automatically subscribed to this thread (that I started.).

I ordered a set of progressive springs. THey were a bit cheaper than Sonic springs (it was the shipping that killed).

I will post how I make out.
