Crankcase Bolt Torque - I don't want to mess up

I want to remove the brackets that formerly held the Vee plastic lower guard. I just want to de-clutter. They are held by crankcase bolts. The service manual recommends 11 Nm for M:6 and 26 Nm for M:8 crankcase bolts. I expect these bolts are M:6 but I will measure the diameter after removing one. Before I mess anything up, does anyone have any input?

You don't really need to use a torque wrench for that job.
You need to use a 1/4 or 3/8 drive ratchet and make them snug tight.

They are M6x1.0. If you use a torque wrench, keep your head in the game. A badly calibrated, wrongly set or too large a capacity torque wrench can wreak havoc with small bolts. 84 inch pounds on my little 200in-lb torque wrench is what I use on 6mm shank bolts on critical areas like camshaft pillow blocks.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s
