Red face Under Seat Latch - Replace? Fabricate?

Months ago my 2006 v-strom 650 was stolen out of my driveway, Boo!
It was then found in an abandoned rental and returned, Yay!

The thieves were less than competent and entirely failed to hotwire it, though succeeded in blowing fuses, chopping the harness, ruining the seat, and chowdering all 3 keyholes.

I have it back together, though stupid me might have thrown away part of the latch under the seat.

Specifically: The seat has two bolts on the bottom. This attaches to *some part* which has a couple nubbins which engage with the latches on the bike.

Can anyone either:
Link me to the replacement part
or
Take a picture of the bottom of your seat so I can machine one myself?

I have looked up parts diagrams, it is not visible and seems to be sold as part of the $300 seat assembly that includes the cushion.

Thanks for the link Lrobby99!

In this post by MrZappo I found a picture of the part:
stromtrooper com/817728-post17.html

And that lead me to the term "striker plate" and "seat bracket"

Forums user ricksca pointed out that the 2007 bandit lists the part separately, and it's probably hopefully maybe the same
stromtrooper com/general-v-strom-discussion/72268-seat-bracket.html

It's labelled part #10 in the seat section for the 2007 bandit
I will update if it fits!

it likely will not fit. i went down this road. suzuki does not sell the striker plate separately. i had a dealer parts monkey sell me a striker plate from a different model and it did not fit.

you could see how much a plate is from Corbin. I had an extra from them but no idea where it is.

Update, it doesn't fit by just a little. If you're in a bind it is only 1mm off and teeny bit of work with a drill or file would get it to fit.

Luckily for me I found the old seat and pulled the old hardware off.

Lesson learned: Look harder!
