That's probably what I'll end up doing, NVDucati; cutting the hose and measuring, and hoping my local hardware store has the right sized fittings (unless someone in the know posts here about the actual size).
I've already done quite a bit of surgery in the past on the pump housing, and cut it down to the size you see in the photo. But after looking at it for a bit, and figuring I can make disconnects for both the air and the power, I'm sure I can get it small enough that it will ride in a shelf under my tool tube, which is 4" wide. I figured on using a trailer connector for the power disconnect. That way the pump tucks up out of the way with nothing hanging off it, and I can store the air hose and power cord in my tool tube.
