2012 DL650A valves

I'm sure this topic has been beat to death but the thread at the top of the page won't open for me. Anyway I need some help with checking my valves, I am starting to get a little noise from what sounds like the rear cyclinder so I want to check my valves, the bike has 13,000 miles on it. I know my way around an engine I have been working on dirt bikes and quads for years I have rebuilt both a 4t and a 2t engine, however I have never messed with a twin cylinder bike. Anyway, how hard is it to check/adjust the valves on my bike. I am just a little apprehensive on these.

Valve clearances close up with wear. If anything, they get quieter. https://www.stromtrooper.com/dl650a-2...oto-guide.html shows how to get the plastics off. From there, the procedures on the Wee and Glee are the same for ABS versions. Getting at the rear cam chain tensioner is a little more difficult on the ABS models.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s
