Will a 2nd generation rear wheel fit on a 1st generation dl650?

Hey guys, I have a huge bend in my '08 weestrom's rear wheel and found a good deal on a '12 wheel. Is the second generation rear wheel the exact same as the first generation rear wheel?

Thanks

Maybe. There seems to be a difference in part numbers between ABS and non-ABS per Ron Ayers microfiche.

Interesting, thank you! My rim is non-ABS, and the one I found is ABS. I suspect it shouldn't be an issue.

The only difference is an extra ABS ring. I think you are right there shouldn't be any issue.

Best guess only. It'll work. As others have said the later bikes have the ABS ring.

The problem is that until someone does it or someone has the two 650's in the garage there's no way to be 100% sure here.
