I'll be passing through in the process of completing the map, probably sometime in May. I'll wave at you guys. My wife and I are thinking about moving there in four or five years.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

I'm developing an allergy to snow. Every week this winter, I've compared the weather between ABQ and Evanston. If the comparison is decent in the summer, I'm making plans. ABQ has a huge lead.

25 years ago I moved from Springfield Illinois to Albuquerque. Climate is much friendlier here.

Thats funny, I moved from Chatham right outside of Springfield 10 years ago, and now I'm in albuquerque for the second time since then (military). As much as I miss the midwest, I dont think I could go back (I'd miss the scenery)

theBigPpaz,

A ride sounds good. I work a mixture of days and nights through the week, so the weekends are the only good times for me (and I have to split my dirt and street time ).
I mad a ride up to Madrid today, and while waiting on my buddy to show up on Central and Tramway, I saw a red Strom leading 3 other dualsports (looked like drz's and xr's). Hope whoever it was had a good time, expecially those poor guys on the small bikes with all that wind out there.

we were at the Einstein bagels at tramway and central at 9:30. there were a bunch of folks riding yesterday. it was VERY windy in mountainair. but i was the only one of the group that was getting blown around. could be the big trunk, the Givi windscreen and the two of us on the bike that made the difference.
