Spotted: Yellow strom Elyria Ohio 2.10.09

Coming home from work today I spotted a yellow strom about 4pm, East bound on rt 90 just past rt57 in Elyria Ohio, headed toward Cleveland. Beautiful 60 degree February day on Lake Erie! How good is that!

Immediately went home, got on my Blue K4 Vee and did a little 30 mile loop before momma had me doing some honey dew stuff.

Flush those fluids through the viens, both the bike and me.

Who are you, oh yellow one..........................?

Another Strommer in Lorain!! Awsome. Small world.

It was a great day for a mid winter ride in N.E. Ohio wasn't it?

Did you buy yours locally at On the Edge? I picked mine up at Kennedys in Elyria yet it was originally sold at On the Edge. It is an 04 Vee that only had 3k on it and a few farkles on it already. Of the 20, or so, bikes I have owned over my 40 years of riding this one matches my riding style and personality best.

Great to know there is another Stromtrooper in Lorain Boondock13!

i tried to buy local...but "Kennedys" acted as if the KLRs were plauged
and said that the only way they would get 1 in was used. I asked them
if they could order me one and they said ....."PROBABLY NOT"???? So needless to say i did not feel like arguing and left. Ended up falling in love w/the stroms.
Went to "On the Edge" and they said there would be about a 2 mos wait 4 one.
And they did'nt even have any info on the stroms....not 2 mention the whole
time i was trying to talk to the guy he was sitting at his desk texting someone...so i left.
sooo after about 3 days of searching mainly by phone i found my yellow buddy all the way down in franklin ohio 4 hours away.Called them up (middle town cycles) asked if they could get me a yellow 1 and the gentleman (name of Moody) says he has 1 in stock but its still in the crate! So i tell him sold!
My buddy was kind enough to drive on down there with me to bring it home...he also has a strom...so i guess that's 3 of us in lorain.
OH and thank the powers that be, that Kennedys did'nt want 2 sell a KLR.

That is a great story. You were destined for a Strom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I seriously considered the Kawasaki Versis but decided that it was too new to the market and their were not enough accessories for it yet. Boy am I glad that I got the strom. The fact that their are ton's of accessories available, a great website and loyal following all are icing on the cake. I met a guy one day at On the edge who was bringing in an 04 Blue Vee, just like mine for service and we struck up a freindship and now converse ocasionally over the internet. I think this coming summer we will try a ride or two to see if our riding styles are compatable. He is from Brunswick somewhere and not on this website yet.

I am planning on the trip to Rapid City South Dakota in late June for the National Stromtrooper gathering, It will be my longest trip ever. I usually ride 3 or 4K miles per year but not more than 300 ~400 mile from home. It is almost 1300 miles one way to SD to I am jazzed about this trip. As it sits now, my wife is going to fly out and spend a couple days with me visiting Mt Rushmore and the other sites, and then I will take a leasurly 4 or 5 days home through Wisconsin, Minn and the UP of Michigan.

I have been getting all my stuff together for this for about 60 days so far and have a bunch of electrical stuff to mount to the bike as it gets a little warmer in the garage and then I should be ready.

Nice corresponing with you.....
Peace.....
OS
