Painting ABS plastic - pelican caribou side cases

So, the wifey's bike came with these giant sidecases, which are really sturdy and nice, although they don't quick-detach...she loves em, except that they are safety friggin yellow. Wants to paint em black if possible. Any of yall painted plastic before? Is there a special primer to use, or should I just go with roof sealant?

Lots of options

On duplicolor look at the bumper coatings as they flex

Check the eastwood catalog too.

If your tough there is bed lining

Sounds crazy but

First wipe it down twice with methanol wood alchohol then dry

Then play for an instant the blue flame of a propane torch like a magic trick never pausing over the surface. this degrades the last molecule providing a nucleus for bonding
