Seems like a lot of people took advantage of the above 50 degree weather today with motorcycles out in force. Hope to be out on my bicycle tomorrow to start loosing some of my winter poundage, build up my stamina and pick my DL650 up April 11th. Supposed to be almost 60 tomorrow.

They were everywhere and I was one of them. It felt good to be out without the heated gear.

I contributed to that explosion today. Took the bike to work today, took the long way home when they let us out early and stopped at home just long enough to pick up the wife before heading back out again.

With predictions for tomorrow showing 58F I plan on doing some extended wandering. Need to get that new Russell seat broken in...

We were supposed to have temps in the 60's today and partially cloudy here in south-central Kentucky. My best friend and I planned to go to a rally in Tennessee. Got up and we went. Temps were in the 40's until noon and the sky was overcast. Temps did go up to 56 at about 3 pm and then back down into the 40's. Heavily overcast all day. Did this stop us? Oh noooooo. We went and had a great time anyway.

Crikey, with that headline, I was anxiously looking for news of some sort of energetic disassembly and rapid oxidation event.

I've noticed lots of helmetless wobblers out there with four or five months' worth of rust on what little skill they ever had.

Or maybe they just forgot to check their tire pressure.

A section of the Blue Ridge Parkway South of Asheville opened over the weekend.

So I went up there for a ride only to find an explosion of motorcycle and other traffic.

There was a parade of RV's, trucks, minivans and Buicks, the Grand Marshal was the onomatopoeiacally-named Potato King.

Oh, joy.
