has anyone here used soupys adjustable links? I got a new (to me) russell seat but it is a little tall. I think I want to lower the bike but I dont keep the russell on the bike full time, just for long trips as I have a cee bailey that I prefer around town. I fit fine on it. My question is how difficult is to adjust the soupys and how difficult to get both sides equal. I dont go off road any more as old age and health have taken care of that.

No personal experience with the Soupy Links, I used the Kouba, they get positive reviews from those who have used them. A big plus is their adjustability. As far as getting both sides equal I think that is a non issue but will defer to those with some actual experience with the links.

You might want to give yourself a little bit more time to get used to your new riding pocket. When I got my custom seat (a bit higher), it did feel a bit further to the ground, but now that I'm used to it, I wouldn't even think of lowering the bike.

How long have you been thinking your seat height is too high?

I have the Soupy's adjustable links. The nice part about them is that it is easy to change the height of them. The bad part about them is that you have to be careful when changing them to keep track of how many turns you have done to one so that you can do the same to the other to keep them set the same. They do work just fine though.

Soupy's

Very easy. I put my bike on the center stand before I started and made a few measurements. I found a spot on both sides of the bottom of my skid plate and measured to the ground. I used those measurements to double check my setting when I was done. Of course the difference of the measurements must be the same no matter how much you lower the bike. I found 3/4 of an inch is all I could go without scraping the skid plate on low fast turns . It took me about 3 or 4 tries before I found the best setting for my weight and riding style.

I've put Soupy's links on my Wee and love 'em. I have lowered my bike so my wife can drive it, and then lifted it back up to the tall position so I can drive. Simple, reliable, and easy. I recommend them.
