Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

had a go in the garage tonight nicked the car mat from the ford
made a tempate from paper
didnt bother with the swing arm holes and just used auto trim double tape to stick them on i had it from halfords for a tank protector that came away ..sticks like somthing to a blanket
...looks quite neat even though i say so myself

click for close up..

does raise the question ..should i have to be doing this ???

Great idea minkyhead . I've got some wear spots on my strom but that area is usually covered in dirt and road grime  so it really doesn't bother me.
